Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz (1646 - 1716) was a German philosopher and mathematician. He was one of the great thinkers of the 17th and 18th centuries and is known as the last “universal genius.” He wrote works on philosophy, theology, ethics, politics, law, history, and philology.
