Titles by J. M. of the Inner Temple

Due to the initials, “J.M. of the Inner-Temple,” some library catalogues have suggested Jasper Mauduit as the author behind this pseudonym. Mauduit had been the colonial agent in London for the colony of Massachusetts until his dismissal in 1765, but there is no direct evidence for the attribution, and Mauduit was not a member of the Inner Temple.
