James Clarke Holt
1922 – 2014
Until his retirement in 1988, Holt was Professor of Medieval History and Master of Fitzwilliam College in Cambridge University. He served as President of the Royal Historical Society, and he was a Fellow of the British Academy and a Corresponding Fellow of the Medieval Academy of America.
