Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman (1820 - 1913) was an American abolitionist and social activist. She led several dozen enslaved people to freedom in the North via the Underground Railroad, a secret network of safe houses. She also served as a nurse, scout, and spy for the Union Army during the Civil War.
