William Lloyd Garrison

William Lloyd Garrison (1805 - 1879) was an American abolitionist, journalist, and social reformer. He spent his life disturbing the peace of the nation in the cause of justice. He founded The Liberator, an antislavery newspaper, in 1831, and was the editor until the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery in 1865.
